Matthews Hail Event — Full Insurance Restoration
A Matthews homeowner contacted StoneBridge two weeks after the April 2024 hail event, after receiving an initial insurance adjuster estimate for $4,200 — roughly one-third of what a full replacement would actually cost. The adjuster had assessed only the front slope of a complex four-slope roof.
StoneBridge's inspection identified impact damage on all four slopes, failed hip cap material, and compromised pipe boot sealants at three penetrations. We documented 847 individual impact marks across the roof surface with geotagged photographs and a damage density map. The supplemental claim documentation resulted in a revised adjuster settlement of $18,400 — the full replacement cost.
SouthPark Estate — GAF Camelot II Designer Shingles
A SouthPark estate property with a complex roofline — eleven distinct pitches, three dormers, two chimneys, and a standing seam metal porch section — required a contractor capable of managing material transitions, intricate flashing work, and aesthetic continuity across a high-profile property.
StoneBridge specified GAF Camelot II designer shingles in Weathered Wood — a dimensional product that replicates the visual layering of real wood shake at a fraction of the weight and with a 30-year warranty. Custom copper step flashing was specified at both chimneys to match existing architectural details. The installation required four days with a specialized crew of eight.
Concord — Class 4 Impact Resistant Upgrade
A Concord homeowner who had filed two hail claims in five years wanted a permanent solution. StoneBridge recommended a Class 4 impact-resistant shingle system — the highest impact rating available — that qualifies for a significant premium discount from most NC insurance carriers.
After installation and the carrier's certification of the Class 4 system, the homeowner received a 20% annual premium reduction from their insurer — a savings that will recover the material cost premium of the impact-resistant system within seven years, independent of any future storm events avoided.
Mooresville Lakefront — Complete Gutter Replacement
A Mooresville lakefront property with 290 linear feet of failing original gutters — undersized 4" sections that were regularly overflowing during heavy Charlotte rain events, directing water toward the foundation. Two sections had separated at the seams, causing fascia damage.
StoneBridge replaced the entire system with 6" seamless aluminum gutters fabricated on-site, replaced three sections of damaged fascia board, installed 5" downspouts sized for the catchment area of each drainage zone, and added LeafGuard micromesh gutter protection throughout. The complete system included a 5-year workmanship warranty.
